About Us!

We – Katrin & Heimo Huber – have been running the tavern 'Zum Schankbaron' at Hotel Kärntnerhof since 2023 and have taken over the hotel management as of January 2026.

With the support of our daughters Melina and Sophia and our loyal staff, we are excited about our new challenge and the opportunity to realise our visions.

A family-run hotel, with the values and traditions of our home region Carinthia, using regional products, with a connection to our homeland and great attention to detail. Our goal is to create a sense of well-being for our guests so that we may have the pleasure of welcoming them back to our house time and again.

We have worked in the hospitality industry all our lives, and it has always been our endeavour to satisfy our guests. Often, guests became friends, and friends even became colleagues, with whom we pursue our goals together.

Family and friendship are lived here and will always come first.
